This sad song by Radiohead has a chord progression with unique movements that create special depth. Most of Exit Music is based on a beat pattern, but in many places it is varied by taking out one or more beats. This stroke has a slight 'shuffle' feel where the eighth notes tend towards triplets, but it is not always so literal. Instead of a triplet shuffle, it's better to think of it as straight eighths with laid-back timing. Listen carefully to the recording and you will hear how that sounds. Also try to focus on the difference between low and high notes. The low notes of the chord are often alternated with the high ones. There are also some great chords in there that are not used very often.

Lyrics:
Wake from your sleep The drying of your tears Today, we escape, we escape
Pack and get dressed Before your father hears us Before all hell breaks loose
Breathe, keep breathing Don't lose your nerve Breathe, keep breathing I can't do this alone
Sing us a song A song to keep us warm There's such a chill, such a chill
And you can laugh A spineless laugh We hope your rules and wisdom choke you Now we are one in everlasting peace
We hope that you choke, that you choke We hope that you choke, that you choke We hope that you choke, that you choke
